Couples Therapy

Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in the same argument loop every night? Do you feel like you and your partner are drifting away? Do you desire more intimacy between you and your partner?

Positive changes in your relationship are possible. By engaging in couples therapy, you will learn how to communicate and understand your respective feelings and needs. The therapeutic process will improve the quality of your relationship or help both of you arrive at mutual decisions about your relationship. I adopt a neutral stance and provide a safe space to explore how issues may be impacting each of you and other relationships through conversation. In couple’s therapy, each person is a client. And, you (as a couple) will co-develop therapy goals.

Some issues that bring couples to therapy are:

  • Pre-Marital/Readiness
  • Post-Marital Adjustment/transition
  • Post-retirement transition(s)
  • Balance (Work/Life/Family)
  • Blended Families
  • Extended Family
  • Addiction/Partner Addiction Support
  • Chronic Illness
  • Mental Illness
  • Infidelity/Cheating
  • Intimacy
  • Sex
  • Collaborative Separation
  • Collaborative Divorce

If any of the above is present in your relationship or there is a different problem you want to explore, contact me for a consultation. I would welcome working with each of you or provide consultation with a problem that may be unique to your relationship/life experience.
